Steinunn Bjarnadottir is an Icelandic designer specialising in ceramics and homeware. She has always been creative, exploring diverse mediums. She discovered her passion for ceramics and earned a diploma from the Reykjavík School of Visual Arts in 2020, followed by a BA (Hons) from LSAD in 2022 and a Master’s in Design from UAL: Central Saint Martins in 2024.

Steinunn’s work is inspired by her surroundings, both familial and geographical, and often reflects her Icelandic heritage. Her latest work explores her move from Hafnarfjörður to London, blending urban forms with her Icelandic identity by utilising found materials from the Icelandic landscape.

Steinunn uses diverse methods in her creations, specialising in throwing and plaster mould making, allowing her to explore both architectural and organic forms.

Steinunn’s passion is to explore and experiment with found and non-mined materials within her work.
